## Loyalty programme changes
The Airpoints™ programme has been rewarding members for over 30 years. From April 2026, we're entering a new chapter as the loyalty programme becomes Koru.

## Status Points
### Earn Status Points to access more travel benefits when you fly.
[Status Points](https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/status-points) are earned every time you fly with us, on eligible Star Alliance airline flights, or our other partner airlines. You can also earn Status Points with some Airpoints earning credit cards.
Each Status Point moves you closer to the next Airpoints membership tier. You start as an Airpoints member, but with enough Status Points within a 12 month period, you could advance to [Silver](https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/silver-benefits), [Gold](https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/gold-benefits), or [Elite](https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/elite-benefits).
