# What is Outdoor Rewards?
The Outdoor Rewards® program is our way of saying “Thank you for being our customer!” With the Outdoor Rewards program you automatically earn points on all your purchases through Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s whether the purchase is made online, through the catalog, or at any of our Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s retail stores. Outdoor Rewards points can be redeemed for free merchandise through either Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s.
**How to Earn Points**
**Basspro.com or Cabelas.com:** Enter your Outdoor Rewards card number during the checkout.
**Phone Orders:** Provide your Outdoor Rewards card number to the Outfitter taking your order.
**Retail Purchases:** Present your Outdoor Rewards card at the checkout.
The number of points you earn will vary based on the amount of your purchases. You will earn 1 Outdoor Rewards point for every $1 you spend on merchandise or gift cards through both Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s. Each Outdoor Rewards point has a redemption value of 2 cents.
Example: $100 purchase = 100 points x $.02 = $2.00 toward a future purchase.
**Exceptions:**
The following categories do not earn points: any products sold by White River Marine Group (formerly Tracker Marine), including ATVs; food and beverage purchases; store restaurants; Big Cedar/Big Cypress lodge transactions; vendor-operated transactions and taxidermy.
Points are not earned when redeeming Outdoor Rewards points or gift cards. Any amount paid with these payment methods is deducted from the purchase amount eligible to redeem points. However, you do earn points when purchasing a Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s Gift Card.
